A Bird in The Hand (beloved things) is a community visual project created by the Kansas City Jewish Museum of Contemporary Art (KCJMCA) on the occasion of the solo exhibition Adriane Herman: Pick Me Up (a few things) at the Epsten Gallery at Village Shalom (January 23 ‐ March 6, 2011). The purpose of this project is to provide a thoughtful context in which participants may express their relationship to items they love — even something taken for granted or seemingly insignificant that you love to collect, own, consume, believe in, celebrate, share, discard, or simply wish to share regarding its role within our world.
